“From financial inclusion to inclusion in growth”

TIREN (Tiny Rural Entrepreneurs) is a microfinance company registered as a for profit company on June 2024. It is a subsidiary of Sanghamithra Rural Financial Services which is a not for profit company registered in 1995. TIREN believes in profit but not in profiteering (maximizing profits); it focuses on fostering  partnerships with tiny entrepreneurs / agripreneurs aspiring to be self- employed in off-farm livelihoods and value added/innovations in on-farm activities. It endeavours to meet the demand for larger loans required by tiny entrepreneurs who have left the city where they acquired several skills and returned to villages to set up small enterprises.

VISION:

TIREN envisions an integrated and holistic intermediary support system to promote and facilitate self-employment of tiny entrepreneurs.

MISSION:

“To partner and grow with the marginalised rural/ semi-urban families in their aspirations to be self-employed based on the pillars of personal connect, risk sharing and capacity building before and especially after the loan is extended”

“To enable tiny entrepreneurs to have access to and work comfortably with formal financial, marketing, skilling institutions and digital platforms which are critical for inclusion in sustainable growth”.

“To influence public policy in support of reducing risk of lending institutions and borrowers related to unsecured loans below Rs 2 lakhs in the informal sector and in support of primary security for loans above Rs 2 lakhs”.
